Sushi platter grooms cake

Leaving for a Peace Corps tour in Togo, this three-part cake is a suitcase, backpack and journal all in one. The journal is hand painted along with all of the detail work on the suitcase and the backpack. The stamps are printed on edible sugar paper.

This fruit fairies cake was adapted from Debbie Brown's book. The fondant covered cake was made from chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream while the fruits and fairies were made from marzipan.
